Cell

What is a cell in a spreadsheet?

One box in the table: where a single row meets a single column.

A cell is the smallest container in a spreadsheet, the box where one row crosses one column. In our case, it holds exactly one answer from one person to one question.

Lesson 1.1 is about giving every answer a cell of its own. Remember the motto for the lesson: a place for everything, and everything in its place.

From our own dataset

Cell E4, where the row for interviewee Spiderman meets the Number of Siblings column.
